This has been a long and tedious six months for Tom Brady. After the NFL sacked him for his involvement in DeflateGate, he was slapped with a four game suspension by Roger Goodell. Then, Brady opted to appeal the decision with hopes of starting game one against Pittsburgh, Sept. 10. According to AP, he proved that he did have sufficient evidence to overturn the ruling and will suit up for the first game of the season.

Goodell requested that Brady provide new information that he didn’t originally provide in the Wells’ investigation in order to reduce his suspension. No information has been provided as to what information Brady provided to escape the wrath of Goodell. But, all in all, he is now free to and eligible to play.

This is definitely a sigh of relief for the defending champs, who were planning to start back-up Jimmy Garoppollo for the first four weeks of the regular season. Now, the Pats will have their leader on deck to rightfully anchor the ship for this upcoming season.
