Roland Martin talks to Rev. Jesse Jackson and current NAACP chair Roslyn Brock about the death of civil rights activist Julian Bond.

“Chairman Bond was his normal self at our convention. He fell ill on vacation. He would fight to the end. Even walking around the convention hall, his voice and his passion was felt,” Chairwoman Brock said.

Earliest memories of Julian Bond:

“From sitting-in in 1960 where we first met, to economic justice he never stopped gibing back. He was a hero and champion till the end. He became the Mandela of our generation,” Rev. Jackson said.
