Ambassador Andrew Young talks about the memories of civil rights leader and former NAACP chairman Julian Bond and his untimely death.

“Julian was one of the youngest members of SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). He served as the Editor of the newspaper that SNCC put out. He married early and had a family and that sort of kept him on the base in Atlanta. He’s had a distinguished career for 60 years. He never left the struggle. He was one of the first to come out of Vietnam,” Young said. “Julian was a wonderful guy that got along with everybody. His father was a college President and Historian.
