In case you’ve been worried that empowering movements such as #BlackLivesMatter would result in a decline of degrading content about Blacks in the media, you can rest easy because BET is resurrecting its highly sexualized music video program “Uncut.”

The network teased the show’s return during the series finale of “The Game” Wednesday night – with Nelly’s “Tip Drill” and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” videos featured in a highlight reel, which was shared on Instagram. Peep it below.

The raunchy late-night music video show returns next week because, according to the Network, there’s been a demand for a revival. Umm… Who asked for this? The Associated Press even reported that some hip-hop artists such as Big Boi of Outkast thought the show was distasteful and bordering on soft porn.

“Uncut” was rated TV-MA and aired on Wednesdays through Fridays at 3 a.m. EST. Though some of the videos were from well-known hip hop artists, most were poor quality videos from indie artists. The show aired from 2001 until 2006, with the last episode airing July 8, 2006, – hosted by Jermaine Dupri.

Vibe reports that “Uncut” came under fire when Nelly’s now infamous “Tip Drill” video aired. Feel free to click here to see how the Urban dictionary defines that. As it says, the sex act is mock performed in the video, and focuses on a video vixen’s a** crack, which at the end of the video, Nelly swipes a credit card on a girl’s a**, simulating the act. Many believe that the backlash the video received caused BET to cancel to series.

We predict a surge in black market booty injections inside seedy motels as strippers prepare to make their debut in Lil Rainbow’s music video – filmed entirely inside Wal-Mart. Strippers love being filmed Twerking inside Wal-Mart for downlow aspiring rappers (YouTube it). Stay tuned – this could frighteningly entertaining.

If “Uncut” follows its old format in featuring indie artists, the show could make your neighbor famous. Does he (or she) have a penchant for rambling about nothing over a coma-inducing beat while draped in a bevy of scantily clad, racially ambiguous women? If so, watch out for him – as he could be asked to perform on the BET pre-show next year. Goodbye WorldStarHipHop – hello “Uncut!”

What do you think about the resurrection of “Uncut”?
