Sean Kingston is doing damage control after a post on his Facebook page appeared to have him making fun of a teen with Asperger’s Syndrome.

The post contained a link to an article about the bullied teen along with the caption:

Tip of the day: If you start a fight, You better know how to fight or this will be happen! Pic#4 is insane! Ha!

Realizing what was done, Kingston brought his regrets to TMZ as he stepped up to apologize and admit that he doesn’t actually run his Facebook page himself. On top of that the singer stated that personally he would never have posted something like what was shared on the page.

“Just wanna apologize to Gavin and his family… My Facebook is not run by me!!…” Kingston told TMZ. “This is the 2nd time something like this happened […] And it hurts. Cause anyone and anybody that knows me know I’m far from that type of person… So from now on I’ll post my own stuff.. Bless.”

As it turned out, the outside vendor running Kingston’s Facebook page admitted to not having read the article before posting about it. The vendor confessed to making a mistake in thinking that the article was “sending a message that it wasn’t cool to pick on autistic kids because they’ll fight back.”

The moral of the story: If you want something done right that won’t end with you on people’s bad side, do it yourself.

Either that or just take time out to look at whatever you have someone else post for you. The extra time is worth it.
