Be careful what you ask for…

Who but Black media is keeping K. Michelle’s name active in your household? Is she aware of this? As it seems she is always poppin’ off on Black media – like she did again over the weekend.

The R&B singer took a break from celebrating the July 4 holiday to turn up on Black media for encouraging violence among Black women as a means of entertainment.

The “Love & Hip Hop” star took to Twitter and began her rant by asking,

“Why are African Americans so angry&hateful towards each other? How can we possibly build a stronger culture when all we do is fight eachother?” She added, “We’ll always b considered the lesser if we dont get it 2gether. I spent years on TV fighting other black women, because no1 believed my abuse.”

While we understand her point, we do wonder if she is aware that there is a system bigger than Black media – a system that controls the images we see in the media, and this system most certainly has anti-black propaganda on lock. Why does K. Michelle not attack this system with the same vitriol that she spews towards Black media? This is the same system that called P.Diddy a terrorist for attacking that basketball coach, but called the 21-year-old racist, White male who murdered 9 people inside a church “a misunderstood kid.”

Michelle has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism ever since she came forward with claims that musician Memphitz routinely beat her. Whenever she pops off on Black media, she reminds us of this:

“Even though I was fighting 2b heard, it looked bad 4my culture & bad on me as a woman. People picked up perceptions of me based on my hurt,” she explained, adding that, “Im not healed. Imagine walking around fearing ur life. This is the 1st time Ive felt safe In 5yrs because he’s in jail.”

Michelle concluded her tirade by calling out Black media for playing a role in degrading Black women and culture.

“Yep, I’m anger as s**t at the way my own people treat me, and how black media has done everything in their power to destroy me 4 no reason…And Black media stop posting me on these blogs, stop asking 4interviews unless its something positive, something 2move the culture forward!”
