Dear Tom,
I nominate my dad Michael Underwood he is my example of a real man and real father.
In November 1996, we both received a call to come to a local convenient store where my mom worked. When he arrived he was told by my mom “this is your daughter.” meanwhile we left from the store went to a house where I was introduced to who is now my grandma.
For him to accept a 16-year old whom he did not know as his own without question, probably because we look so much alike, I consider him to be a real man.
he is a Alabama fan, I’m an Auburn fan with the significance of our union being on iron bowl weekend (an intense deep south college football rivalry), if you could make it possible for us to attend in person this year, it would be the best way to help me show appreciation for accepting me. He lives in Nashville and I live in Alabama and we’ve never watched the iron bowl in the same location, nor in person, to attend the game together would be a blessing and a dream come true.
