Beyonce made a quick visit to Haiti to see what progress has been made since the 2010 earthquake struck and devastated the island nation.

Haiti U.N. mission spokeswoman Sophie Boutaud de la Combe said Saturday that Beyonce also was able to “meet some of the people who were affected by” by the disaster.

According to Vibe, the singer, along with her organization, BeyGOOD, visited towns throughout the country and assisted people with food, water, and other necessary resources including medical attention from the UN’s doctors.

Photos taken during her Haiti visit show Beyonce wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the name of her charity organization.

Official estimates say the 2010 quake that shattered Haiti’s capital and surrounding areas claimed as many as 300,000 lives. Also, since the earthquake, Haiti has slowly tried to stabilize its economy across all spectrums. This result has left residents in a state of poverty, lack of substantial shelter, and adequate plumbing which has led to a cholera outbreak.
