We’ve got some not so great health news to report about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The NBA legend was hospitalized again Wednesday morning with chest pain just two weeks after undergoing quadruple bypass surgery April 16.

According to TMZ, Abdul-Jabbar was transported to the hospital by ambulance following a 911 call. Fortunately he has since been released and is back home, according to a statement from his representative.

Ironically, only two hours before the 911 call, the 68-year-old hall-of-famer tweeted that he’s “doing fine & feeling better everyday.”

Abdul-Jabbar contacted his doctor, who told him to go to the emergency room at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, according to the statement. After being evaluated by his surgeon and cardiologist, it said, he was medically cleared:

“His surgeon, Dr. Richard Shemin, said it is not uncommon for patients to experience symptoms of discomfort following major heart surgery and Abdul-Jabbar did the right thing by coming in to see his physicians.”

Six hours later, a tweet was sent from Abdul-Jabbar’s account to promote The Gift Back Project, but it’s not known if Abdulul-Jabbar himself sent the tweet.
