There are rumors that Mariah Carey may have moved on from Nick Cannon with a famous director!
It looks like Mariah has been cozying up to her good buddy Brett Ratner a bit more than usual these days. TMZ.com reports that the pair wore in “full-blown couple mode” while celebrating his birthday on a yacht in the Bahamas over the weekend.
A couple pictures of Mariah and Brett popped up on TMZ along with claims from sources “close to the boat” that the pair were all over each other this weekend and they’re totally smitten.
Brett sure knows how to pick ‘em! Remember, he once dated Tennis champ/Vogue cover girl Serena Williams!
While neither Mariah nor Brett have addressed the gossip themselves, sources close to the pair are laughing off the notion that these two are an item.
“Brett thinks it’s silly,” one tipster told E! Online, adding that he’s casually been seeing someone else for about a year. “The woman he’s dating was with them the whole time and is in half the pictures.”
And the elusive chanteuse may not see it for Brett in that way either!
“Mariah would never think of Brett in that way,” an insider close to Mariah said. “They’re like brother and sister.”
Could the conflicting accounts from sources be PR control? It’s tough to tell at this juncture.
