Apparently, when they are on break from their day jobs, Tom Joyner and Wendy Raquel Robinson hang out at some really cool parties.

The two of them were at Tyler Perry’s son Aman’s christening at his Beverly Hills home with special guests like godmothers Oprah Winfrey and Cicely Tyson hanging out there, too.

So yes, they are both cooler than you, but not above their own fan moments as Wendy confessed to the TJMS that she snuck upstairs in Perry’s house.

“I took the back door,” Robinson laughs. “It was a great time. It was beautiful and it was fancy. We was real fancy.” Not too fancy for chicken and waffles and collard greens, though according to Robinson.

In reel life, Robinson’s character on The Game has just had a baby. Though Tasha Mack won’t be gracing our TV screens much longer as the show’s in his last season. Robinson promises that the show’s final episodes will be worth watching.

“It really ends in an incredible way. It’s been a ride, it really has.”

While Mack has moved on to motherhood, Robinson has moved on to the stage, which is a full circle moment as its where she started as an actress. She is starring in the stage play Things Your Man Won’t Do, which opens in Detroit next week.

“I’m really excited,” Robinson says. “I’m out here having a good time with Tichina Arnold, Brian White and Leon and it’s a wonderful, wonderful piece….it’s about having second chances. A lot of women make mistakes – a lot of men make mistakes – but rarely do you have a chance to rectify. It’s about what would you do if…you could fix that situation and go back and make everything perfect.”

Though she’s best known for her work on television, Robinson says that theater is her greatest love and biggest challenge. She sharing that love with young people through her Amazing Grace conservatory, a Los Angeles-based theater company that trains young people 5-18 in theater and mounts productions as well.

“The thing about theatre – you have to be in the moment every single time. You can trip and fall but you’ve got to use it.”
