Less than five months into her tenure, Rosie O’Donnell is leaving The View and ending her marriage. Rosie is exiting the ABC talk show in order to focus on her children and health after she and her wife of two and a half years have separated according to the New York Post. Rosie’s rep confirmed she and her second wife, Michelle Rounds quietly called it quits in November.  Rosie and Michelle were hitched on June 2012, and adopted a little girl Dakota, who joined Rosie’s four children from her previous marriage.

While rumors have plagued the long running morning show of behind-the-scenes fighting with Rosie’s co-hosts and producers, the comedienne insists she’s focusing on her health. Rosie told Entertainment Tonight:

This is definitely about my heart. It’s about [the] company of Disney being amazing… When I sat down with them and said, ‘Here is the deal, this is what’s been going on with me personally and professionally,’ they were great… It’s not about anybody else. It never was and it never will be. Everybody wants a show to work and for it to succeed. But [what] you want mostly is to take care of your health.

In 2012, Rosie suffered a near-fatal heart attack prompting her a year later to undergo vertical gastric sleeve surgery. Meanwhile, an ABC spokesperson stated Rosie will appear back on The View from time to time.
