Friends no more?

Lil Wayne is not playing with Cash Money Records. He’s planning his great escape from the record label where he spent his entire career.

Weezy plans to take Nicki Minaj, Drake and Young Money with him when he finally bounces from the record label. Birdman will be hung out there to dry.

But of course this isn’t the only thing he’s plans to take from his former mentor. Wayne filed a lawsuit against Birdman for $51 million.

Wayne was supposed to get a $8 million advance when he begun recording “Tha Carter V” in December 2013 and an additional $2 million when the album was complete a year later. He hasn’t received anything.

Birdman has basically shelved the album, and Wayne is ready to release it. He’s planning on walking in order to do that, but once again, not alone.

Although Birdman helped mold Minaj and Drake’s careers, their contracts are under YME and Weezy wants them to continue to roll with him, according to TMZ.

YME distribution deal is with Cash Money. Therefore, this matter will most definitely have to be settled out of court. But Wayne has every intention on leaving with his crew.
