At roughly 4:29 pm PST, Rihanna sent a tweet directing fans to her website with a simple message stating, ‘First glimpse at my new music!!!’ The track she was referring to was her new single, ‘Four-Five Seconds,’ a bare bones, acoustic track featuring Kanye West and The Beatles member Paul McCartney. It comes weeks after West and McCartney released ‘Only One’ on New Year’s Day.

‘Now I’m four-five seconds from wildin’, and we got three more days ‘til Friday / I’m just tryin’ to make it back home by Monday mornin’ I swear / I wish somebody would dare me, oooh that’s all I want,’ Rihanna sings on the chorus.

With no backing beat or other instruments other than McCartney strumming some chord progressions on the guitar, it’s arguably Rihanna’s most minimalist work to date. The single, currently available for purchase on iTunes, will likely come from Rihanna’s first collection of new, studio material since 2012’s Unapologetic. The hashtag #FourFiveSeconds began trending within minutes, with various users complaining of RihannaNow.com crashing.
