Horoscopes for the week of December 29th

“You are not a peasant sheering sheep, as you have thought. You are a king dressed in rags who has amnesia.” ~ Allison Nappi

As I write this last batch of weekly horoscopes for 2014, I can’t help but reflect on just how crappy this year has been for many of us. Don’t get me wrong; there were plenty of amazing opportunities and adventures to cherish, and I know to count my blessings. But overall, this year has been rather dense, and I’m looking forward to offloading some excess weight.

The greatest challenges I have faced over the past 12 months have become my most teachable moments. Isn’t that always the case? Where we struggle is where we grow? Psychotherapist Ken Page put it another way when he wrote: “our deepest wounds surround our greatest gifts.” In his HuffingtonPost article, “How Your Deepest Insecurities Reveal Your Greatest Gifts,” Page described his ability to see beauty in the mistakes of some of his clients. The woman that gives too much in relationships, for example, believes this to be a bad thing that gets her into trouble. She fails to recognize her caring nature as a gift that she needs to honor – a gift that also needs to be honored by significant others. Page’s argument, in other words, is that how we perceive ourselves can literally shift our reality. This, interestingly enough, has been a hard lesson for me to learn.

Of course, shifting one’s perception of self is difficult to do, especially when you consider all the stuff that’s been added on by society, our parents, our friends, and etc. But it is possible. What’s more, it’s up to us to do it. This requires that we no longer play the victim or come up with excuses, and if it means honoring our gifts instead of shaming our flaws, then so be it.

Your horoscopes this week reveal where your sign could stand to be more self-honoring as we enter 2015. Be sure to read your Ascendant sign’s ‘scope too. For additional support with empowered living in the New Year, sign up for my Empowerment Webinar scheduled on New Year’s Day!

On the day you were born, all of the planets were positioned in the signs of the Zodiac – not just the Sun. To find out more about your full astrological make up, email Tracey for a personal Astrology reading at tracey@randomnessofrudy.com.

Aries: Let’s face it, Aries. You know. You are very much aware of the subtleties of life, and you can easily tap into the motives of others. Maybe you feel as though you’re too trusting or too quick to give others the benefit of the doubt. You prefer to believe the best in people, which is admirable, but oftentimes you end up being duped. Still, this is no excuse to allow disappointments to dim your light. If you can simply learn to trust your instincts first, a lot of hurt and pain could be avoided. Dear Aries, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Taurus: You have big goals for the future Taurus. But you continue to put them on the back burner because you feel that certain innovative ideas wouldn’t be practical. I say screw practical. You are entitled to your dreams, and you might just be surprised by how many people want to support you. They may not necessarily look like the type of folks you would normally hang with, but you can’t deny that they speak your language. Go ahead and engage them. I promise you won’t be rejected. Dear Taurus, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Gemini: It’s time to admit that what you thought you would be doing, career wise, doesn’t fit with who you’ve become dear Twins. I realize that you would rather go with what you know, but playing it safe this way only prevents you from doing work that gives you purpose. What are you afraid of? Ok, maybe you can’t quite make sense of why there is a need to change tracks, and I don’t blame you for feeling some level of discomfort. But your yearning for something different can’t just be ignored. Dear Gemini, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Cancer: You have been brought to task on faith, Cancer. One minute, you’re fully attuned, downloading floods of information from a higher source. Then the next minute, your philosophies come up for questioning, making it difficult for you to recognize your own truth. No doubt, this has been quite the challenge. But as they say, your test is your testimony. You might want to consider this an opportunity to stand with conviction behind a broader knowledge that is slowly unfolding. Dear Cancer, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Leo: What you choose to invest has never really been an issue, per se, dear Lion. You have a big heart that you tend to wear on your sleeve. But lately you’ve been dealing with some real vulnerability, the kind that forces you to face fears surrounding your worth, and why you should be viewed as someone of value in business or pleasure. It’s not a question of whether or not you should share your gifts with others. It’s just that others need to recognize the gifts you bring to the table. Dear Leo, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Virgo: No matter how grounded you are, what you desire in a mate is someone who lifts you up and helps you to be a better person. It’s not enough that they look good on paper, make a good living and take care of their personal hygiene. You need a deeper connection that transcends your love, allowing you to love more soulfully – more wholeheartedly. I realize that there’s no way to measure this kind of love, which leaves you feeling uneasy Virgo. But trust me, this is the best kind of love. Dear Virgo, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Libra: It’s OK if certain things just don’t get done, Libra. As an Air sign that values fairness and equality, you are pressed to make sure your time is equally distributed. While admirable, all this does is ensure that nothing is ever really finished. Isn’t that annoying for you? Is there a reason why you feel as though equal amounts of time must be divided in your day-to-day? No one will fault you for not paying enough attention to one area of life. If they do, maybe they shouldn’t be a priority. Dear Libra, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Scorpio: If you could simply let go of whatever prevents you from being your authentic self, then creative activity, romantic pairings or time spent with children wouldn’t be so draining. You have to admit that the reason why artists, little kids and people in love get under your skin is because you are not sure how to manifest all that is unique, loving and heartfelt within. These things may have been stifled in you growing up. But please note that that was then, and this is now. Go out and play. Dear Scorpio, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Sagittarius: Just because you express an inner truth that can be rather emotional Sagittarius, doesn’t mean that you’re turning into a sad sap. It’s wonderful that you have an adventurous spirit, but the adventure shouldn’t always be “out there.” What I’m saying is don’t be afraid to explore yourself and ask the right questions – the why behind the why. You won’t have to worry about what feelings will flood to the surface causing pain or sadness. Just concentrate solely on releasing them. Dear Sagittarius, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Capricorn: Even if what you have to say seems out of the ordinary, it doesn’t mean you should keep it to yourself. Capricorns are known to be very strategic in thought and understanding. But lately you’ve been able to perceive grey areas, and this has lead to a deeper comprehension of things left unsaid. It may surprise you to learn that others are on the same page. They just didn’t know how to verbalize where they were. It will help to remain compassionate in all forms of communication. Dear Capricorn, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Aquarius: You never really stop to consider your personal value and worth, Aquarius. This is because you’re so focused on others, i.e., how you might be able to best support them – the group or collective. You have to admit, though, that this default to others has been a way to protect yourself against being rejected, or having your skills and ideas rejected. Please note that this is fear; you only do the group a disservice by denying your own gifts. It’s OK to promote you, in a way that you see fit. Dear Aquarius, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.

Pisces: Slowly but surely you are unlocking hidden fears that have prevented you from really pursuing your personal goals and desires. On the one hand, an unexpected clarity is starting to surface, which makes you excited for where your life is heading. On the other hand, whatever triggers that self-talk of “you can’t do this” needs to be dealt with, and stat. Luckily, as a Pisces, you’re attuned to what goes on beneath the surface. The inner digging will bring a final release. Dear Pisces, I wish you an exciting and festive 2015! Be sure to visit traceylrogers.com on New Year’s Day to read your annual horoscope.
