Has Robert Griffin III become more of a liability than an asset for Washington’s football team?

According to an NESN report, that could very well be the case as it mentions teammates who are becoming more and more irritated with the former Heisman Trophy winner. So much so that other media sources are saying an end may be coming for the RG3 era in Washington.

“No one is happy … no one gets the hype around him anymore,” an anonymous teammate reportedly told TMZ Sports. “He’s secluded and it affects us in the game. We don’t have that real rapport. He’s lost confidence and is complacent now.”

The teammate’s comments are the latest rumblings among growing talk about dissatisfaction with RG3. Although numerous injuries have plagued him since entering the NFL, Griffin has played terribly this season. On top of that, he was benched in favor of Colt McCoy a few weeks ago.

Having such a negative reaction to RG3 must not be setting well with Washington Football Team owner Daniel Snyder. After all, he spent millions on players and coaches since buying the team in 1999. But it looks like that hasn’t paid off in light of the RG3 situation and the debacle resulting after he took a chance on first time head coach Jay Gruden.

So what do you think? Is RG3 to blame or could it be Gruden or something else entirely?
