V. Stiviano will be among those present at the upcoming trial of former NBA team owner Donald Sterling.

According to theJasmineBRAND.com, Stiviano will take the stand under oath during the trial as she answers questions about her relationship with Sterling and the infamous recording she made that ultimately caused the end of his ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers.

News of Stiviano’s appearance comes amid the NBA’s countersuit against Sterling last month, demanding damages for what the controversial former owner has cost the league regarding his attempt to block the sale of the Clippers. The suit reportedly cites the initial agreement Sterling made to sell the team to Steve Ballmer which included a provision that indemnified the league from future claims brought by him, his wife Shelly Sterling, or the Clippers.

Court documents acknowledge expenses garnered by the NBA, which continue to mount. Media sources report the league and commissioner Adam Silver have filed suit against Sterling and the Sterling Family Trust with a demand that Sterling pay back what it has cost the NBA and Silver to battle him in court.

Newly filed court documents in the case reveal Sterling’s argument that he shouldn’t have been kicked out of the NBA in light of the recording of him being taken illegally.

Despite his claim, the NBA allegedly hit back in its response as it claims that Sterling had no expectation of privacy. Among the witnesses that will be called to the stand are Shelly Sterling and Stiviano, who will answer questions about her time with Donald Sterling as well as the recording.
