Sherri Shepherd’s time at “The View” may have come to an end, but she’s set to restart her relationship with TV Land as the newest member of the cast of “The Soul Man.”

According to alwaysalist.com, Shepherd will head to Hollywood to join the cast of the hit show after she finishes her stint on Broadway for “Cinderella” later this month. “The Soul Man” is familiar ground for Shepherd, who appeared on season 1 of the show in 2012 as cousin Nikki.

For the fourth season of “The Soul Man,” the former daytime TV personality will star in 10 of the 12 episodes as she joins regular cast members Cedric The Entertainer, Niecy Nash, Wesley Jonathan, Jazz Raycole and John Beasley.

Shepherd isn’t the only new person to come to “The Soul Man.” The show will also receive new showrunners in Bill Martin and Mike Schiff. Prior to “The Soul Man,” the pair previously oversaw “Malibu Country” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.”

Although she’s logged in time on “The Soul Man,” the sitcom isn’t Shepherd’s first TV Land show. In 2011, she appeared on two episodes of “Hot In Cleveland.”

Season four of “The Soul Man” is set to premiere some time in 2015. An exact date for the beginning of the new season has not been determined at this time.
