TMZ questioned the sexuality of Gayle King in a headline this morning, claiming she said “I’m gay” during a segment on “CBS This Morning.”
But Oprah’s BFF says she never said it, and that she is not gay.
TMZ reported that King was in a conversation with co-hosts Norah O’Donnell and Charlie Rose and a guest about choosing the right mate. Gayle suggested that she and Charlie would be the perfect couple. TMZ claimed she then laughed it off by saying, “I’m just kidding. I’m gay.”
The website caught up with Gayle as she was leaving the studio and asked her if she really came out of the closet this morning. She responded:
“I didn’t say that. Charlie and I were joking around and I said, ‘I’m kidding, I’m kidding, I’m OK.’”
