Kriss and Lauren-Joy found love online after Kriss changed her height requirements to allow shorter women to contact her. And it’s a good thing she did, because she would have never met Lauren-Joy. After an eight hour first date, Kriss was ready to spend the rest of her life with Lauren-Joy. So naturally Kriss planned one of the most epic proposals I’ve ever seen in life: she created an entire musical for her lady love.
Kriss wanted to involve their family and friends, so she created a musical that chronicled their entire relationship. During the tear-jerking show, Lauren-Joy watched as she was able to relive poignant moments of their relationship, played out by family and friends. There were quotes from their lives, songs that perfectly summed up the standout moments and the rest is snotty-nosed, scrolling-through-your-address-book-attemping-to-rekindle-a-failed-relationship emotional history. The climax: Kriss getting down on one knee and asking Lauren-Joy to spend the rest of her life with her. Awww! Of course she said yes!
The ladies told engagement social website, HowHeAsked.com, that this is how the proposal happened:
On Monday September 15th, 2014, Kriss surprised Lauren-Joy at work with a town car. She was then driven to her house and given 30 minutes to pack an overnight bag and get ready for a night on the town. The first stop was the restaurant where they had their first date. Inside were three of Lauren-Joy’s friends to surprise her and calm her nerves! Next stop, a local theater where Kriss invited Lauren-Joy to see a brand new musical. Little did she know it would change their lives forever…
*Sigh* This was so beautiful! Imagine the planning that went into this! It’s hard enough to get your family and friends to gather for a party, even if you said it was open bar. So for Kriss to get her loved ones to not only gather, but learn songs, sing them and do scenes from her relationship–that’s magic. Congrats to the beautiful couple! We love love!
