Comedian, Actor and radio personality Roy Wood, Jr. is a busy man. The Alabama native just completed the third season of ‘Sullivan & Son’s’ on TBS.

The FAMU graduate stopped by the Tom Joyner Morning Show to talk about his upcoming performance at the Arlington Improv and what’s going on in the news.

On the recent NFL drama:

“I didn’t know that you can get arrested for beatings months ago, so I want to see how far you can go back. My mama beat me in Century City Plaza Mall in Birmingham in 1993.”

On black people using the Joe Jackson analogy in regards to beating their kids:

“You can’t beat talent into somebody. My daddy beat me regularly and I still couldn’t make junior varsity. You can’t upper cut someone into the pros.”
