Not so good financial news for legendary singer Dionne Warwick.
Media partner theJasmineBRAND.com has exclusively learned that the she’s been accused of not paying Uncle Sam.
The federal government has filed suit against the 73-year-old-singer for the $3 million she owes in back taxes.
The lawsuit was filed by the federal government on August 29th and explains that Warwick owes them a total of $3,667,447 in unpaid taxes for the years 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2007.
They state that she has attempted to work out deals with them multiple times, offering to compromise the debt owed on several occasions–but she has often withdrew her offer or defaulted on the agreement she made with them. They explain she then filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
