Ever wondered what you’re really supposed to do with all those different makeup brushes you never use? Consider this your official Beauty 101: Brush Class guide!

1. Cheekbones (powder blush)

A natural bristled angled brush is key for sculpting and shaping your cheekbones. Sucking in your cheeks and looking in the mirror will assist you in locating your cheekbones.

2. Apples (powder blush)

Again, natural bristles are key. Make sure the brush has a lot of body and a pointed tip for precision. Smiling and looking in the mirror will assist in locating where the apples of your cheeks are. Swirl blush in circular motion for application.

3. Stippling (cream blush)

A synthetic brush with two multi-color layers is what you need here. Typically, the darker color is dense and long and the lighter color is short and fine. The trick here is the application. The layers work to your advantage to give you the look you want. Light application yields a sheer finish, while a  heavier application yields a satin finish.
