Laurence Fishburne, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore are the big stars who make up the cast of  ABC’s new family sitcom Black-ish.

The show is set to debut on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 9:30pm after Modern Family.

At a recent television event, Anderson promised the media at least nine seasons of the brand new show.

The synopsis reads:

Andre ‘Dre’ Johnson has a great job, a beautiful wife, Rainbow, four kids, and a colonial home in the ‘burbs. But has success brought too much assimilation for his black family?

Anderson’s confidence in the show stems from its universal stories.

“…Telling truthful stories about our life and family lives.  We can’t fabricate anything or try to tell you what we’re going to do, we just have to do it!” says Anthony Anderson.

Tracee Ellis Ross added, “Sometimes the most groundbreaking television is just telling the truth and doing good work in a fun way. Just doing some ‘ish!”

Watch Anderson and Ellis Ross kid an EUR reporter about her fashion and answer questions about the show.
