A sun-kissed Sheila E. is leaving all of her worries behind in the video for “Lovely Day,” the latest single from the drummer/singer/songwriter’s 40th anniversary album “Icon.”
Released in November 2013, the set celebrates her 40th year in the music business.
She’s also preparing to release her first memoir The Beat of My Own Drum on Sept. 2. Rumor has it that the book will finally confirm her one-time engagement to Prince, according to Billboard.
“The video was shot at my friend’s house, actor Jack Coleman, and on location in Los Angeles. The scene in which my dog Emma pulled me on the beach was not planned,” Sheila E. tells Billboard.
