  • Gearing up for its upcoming LeBron James-produced series Survivor’s Remorse, STARZ today released  a new trailer for the series. (WARNING: Trailer includes explicit language.)

Jessie T. Usher stars as Cam Calloway, a basketball star in his early 20’s who becomes an instant millionaire after signing with a pro team. The series explores how that sudden money affects his relationships with family members and longtime friends.

Tichina Arnold plays Cam’s mother Cassie – a role that at age 45, she admits is all too familiar.

“I took the role of Rochelle in Everybody Hates Chris and that was it. I was going to play mother roles all the time,” she told critics at the recent Televison Critics Association press tour. “Once you do one mother role, it’s always a trickle-down effect.”

Arnold, who played Rochelle during all four seasons of Everybody Hates Chris tells us why the character of Cassie in Survivor’s Remorse was a selling point in her return to series television.
