Rumor has it Kanye West is becoming religious again (since he wrote and performed the pop hit, “Jesus Walks“).

He plans to build Kim Kardashian a cathedral. He hasn’t confirm it, but an insider said Kardashian could have a church in her name soon.

“They want somewhere that weddings, baptisms and family funerals can take place for years to come,” a source said.

“But Kanye being Kanye, it’s going to be ludicrously over the top!” gin as soon as possible, said the source. “He’ll keep adding on to the structure, so it’s a working piece of art.”

Also, West is said to be planning live performances in order to fund the cathedral.

“Kanye sees it as a monument to him and Kim that will become a major landmark. He says everyone will want to see it, like the Hollywood sign or the Empire State Building,” the source said.

The source added, “he’s already set aside $5 million to get the work started and plans on doing a series of shows to help fund the construction. “He’s also considering starting an online appeal so that fans can donate to the building fund.”

The source said West wanted to build a cathedral for years. His mother was a deeply religious woman, but after her tragic death from plastic surgery in 2007, he didn’t have a reason too… until now.

“He wants this church to include a chapel as a tribute to his mom, along with a stained glass window featuring him, Kim and their daughter, North,” the source said.

The source added, “the cathedral will be nondenominational, and Kanye intends it to be a permanent place of worship for the entire Kardashian clan. Said the insider: “Kim and her mom, Kris , are thrilled that Kanye is doing this for the family.”
