Farrah Franklin, 33, who once-upon-a-time was a member of the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, was reportedly arrested in the wee hours of Sunday morning and charged with disorderly conduct, according to TMZ.

Franklin and Michelle Williams joined Destiny’s Child in 1999, replacing LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.

Franklin, who was hired by Beyoncé’s dad and the group’s then manager, Matthew Knowles, remained with the group for a mere five months. She claimed to have learned about her firing via an MTV news report.

Not long after Franklin’s alleged dismissal, Beyoncé publicly stated in an interview that her band-mate had not been callously fired and the decision to let Franklin go was reached unanimously by the group.

According to Beyoncé, Franklin and the group agreed to part company because she had reportedly not only missed quite a few major performances but had made it perfectly clear that she was not interested in continuing with Destiny’s Child.

Franklin, now an actress, was allegedly booked into the Horry County Detention Center in Conway, South Carolina. Franklin was cited for disorderly conduct and released Sunday afternoon after posting bond, reports TMZ.

This is not Franklin’s first arrest.  Three years ago, she was reportedly cuffed for disorderly conduct in Culver City, California.

At the time of her arrest, Franklin claimed she had been roughed up and racially profiled by officers. She initially denied the incident, telling media that police had merely detained her.

TMZ later confirmed with the jail where Franklin was held that she in fact had been arrested for “disturbing the peace” and that alcohol possibly played a role.

Franklin addressed her arrest on Twitter Sunday night:
