Why are we so afraid? Marianne Williamson wrote, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Lately I’ve been having this conversation with so many people, about how an unconscious fear of abundance, good fortune and happy healthy living keeps us stuck in mediocrity. It’s as if we can’t even begin to fathom all that is possible. It seems easier not to stretch, while simultaneously dealing with inner tension that begs the need to expand. Often times we repeat cycles and patterns that confine us to a repetitive loop avoiding change, and what happens next is we either become restless with awareness that there’s more to life and thus begin our Hero’s journey, or, we get lost in complaints and excuses. The more things change, the more they really do stay the same. But that’s no reason to become stagnant.

What’s even more unsettling are all the naysayers who believe that doing what you love and creating the life that you want is a luxury. I wonder if that’s the rationale they use because of their own broken records? Sure, celebrities, VIPs and those of a certain financial standing have an upper hand, just like those with families and bills to pay are doubly challenged. But none of us are exempt. Walking your own path involves dedication, commitment and leaps of faith, all the while learning and unlearning every lesson presented in Earth school that enhances or hinders growth – mentally, spiritually and emotionally. In my experience, there’s nothing luxurious about any of this, and if we stopped believing that having it all was an ideal, we might just manifest our dreams as reality.

“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.”

~ M. Williamson

The planet Jupiter moves into the sign of Leo this Wednesday, July 16th, after spending a full year in the sign of Cancer. This begins a new cycle, as each sign of the Zodiac represents a cycle of development. In the water sign of Cancer, Jupiter taught us how to deal with our emotions, experiencing life and its characters with more loving care and compassion. In the fire sign of Leo, the message now is to create our reality, with a secure understanding of what brings us emotional comfort and stability. Keep in mind that Leo is a fixed sign and there’s nothing light about its energy. As Jupiter transits this sign through August 2015, you can expect major developments in the world of entertainment, artistic endeavors, and recreational activities that allow us to tap into our inner child. Leo simply wouldn’t have it any other way, and neither should you.

Check your horoscope to see what’s in store this week ahead, and don’t forget to read for your Ascendant sign, too.

On the day you were born, all of the planets were positioned in the signs of the Zodiac – not just the Sun. To find out more about your full astrological make up, email Tracey for a personal Astrology reading at tracey@randomnessofrudy.com.
