Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has expressed his wishes to sell out Wembley Stadium. The undefeated boxer says he wants to mirror Carl Froch and George Groves, which took play over the weekend.  Setting up a fight at Wembley Stadium would also suggest he’s ready to set up a match with Amir Khan.

Amir Khan recently fought Luiz Collazo on the undercard of Mayweather’s victory over Marcos Maidana, the head honcho of The Money Team believes Wembley would be perfect place for his match.

Wembley now sees their stadium as a top-level boxing venue coming off the heels of Froch knocking out Groves in front of 80,000 people in their much talked about rematch.  According to the Independent, the record-breaking crowd who saw Froch vs Groves would easily be topped by Mayweather if he decided to take his talents to Wembley.

All of Mayweather’s 46 fights have taken place state side and all fights have resulted in a victory. While Khan has traveled a little more fighting in places pole Las Vegas and New York which has helped the UK boxer make a name for himself out of his home country and name in the United States.

According to ESPN, Mayweathers recent separation from Golden Boy Promotions doest help or hurt Mayweather’s chances of fighting long time boxing Manny Pacquiao.  A fight with Khan seems more possible after Mayweather’s comments about not doing business with boxing promoter Bob Arum.

Khan wouldn’t be availble to fight Mayweather in the fall because September will be Ramadan, and such a schedule a month before a big fight could hinder his chances against Mayweather or give himself a real chance of giving Mayweather the fight everyone wants to see. Khan’s trainer believes hosting a fight May 2015 would be a better fit at the moment.
