Diddy isn’t the only music star to get an honorary doctorate from an alma mater this year.
Singer/actress Jill Scott will be feted with a Doctor of Humane Letters on Thursday (May 15) from Temple University in her hometown of Philadelphia.
School president Neil D. Theobald says, “(Her) values and achievements embody the mission and ideas of the university.”
Scott studied secondary education at Temple before dropping out due to financial constraints.
