There may be fighting, backstabbing and name-calling among the women of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks prove there’s genuine friendship in the mix, too.

The new Mrs. Kandi Tucker traveled to Alabama to watch Phaedra walk across the stage and officially become a licensed funeral director. “Took a road trip to Alabama to see @phaedraparks graduate today! She didn’t know I was coming. I am so proud of her,” the songstress shared on her Instagram account.

She went on to say that Phaedra inspires her to continue to work hard and make her dreams come true. “For her to be a mother of two, a wife, run her own law firm, write books, make DVDs, be on a tv show, etc…. Yet still go back to school & get her degree in Funeral Service Education is incredible,” Kandi said. “She commits herself wholeheartedly to everything she does. She’s a true BOSS! Everybody send @phaedraparks love today!”

In related Class of 2014 news, LL Cool J attended his daughter’s graduation and received an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Northeastern University Friday. “For them to recognize my body of work and my contributions to the world of art is an amazing feeling,” the proud parent told CBS news. “I’ve been called a few things, but never a doctor, that’s for sure,”

LL’s daughter Italia Smith said it was great to see her dad onstage. “It was emotional, it was exciting, I’m just happy to reach a new milestone,” she said.

Glad to know successful black women can support one another. Those are the only ones I like anyway.

What was up with that wedding dress? Kandi you really need to hire a good stylist honey and to make matters worse, the way she dressed during the show was a hot mess!

  3. Congratulations Phaedra on your achievement … you are a Boss lady. You have set example for little girls to follow by ignoring BS and focus on their goals.

In addition to all her achievements, Phaedra has a great sense of humor and often says some of the funniest things on RHOA.

B.T.W….Kandi states Phaedra inspires her? in what? how to be a street hustler, thief and a fake itch? Kandi if that is what you called inspiring, then you are just if not more stupid than she is.

Why was her career criminal hubby there as well? Most likely because the criminal can not leave his state. Phaedra is beyond fake! if Kandi knew what the rest of the world knows, it would be in her very best interest and to cut all ties with a I.D. thief. Besides it’s been proven continuously that Phaedra is out for $$$. And when the smoke clears, maintaining a friendship with Kandi, means notta. Kandi still has alot to learn. Phaedra and Apollo art two street hustlers.

  7. Congrats to Mrs. Phaedra!!! Kandi is such a gem she is a true ride or die friend. Doesn’t surprise me that she went to see her BFF, those two are true meaning of friendship. Best of luck to Phaedra in all she puts her mind too!

Class? They have no class with gossiping they be doing and the eye rolling, two-faced back stabbing don’t mess with my man attitude when it’s their man (Apollo) with criminal background and the roving eye. Anybody can go to school and work multiple jobs. Phakedra and Kandi are hustler’s but I wouldn’t trust neither one of them, they lie, gossip, start mess and play games as if they’re innocent.

Glad to see the true spirit of friendship demonstrated between Phaedra and Kandi. Go Bosses, make us all look good & congratulations to Phedra!

  10. These two women are showing lots of class which can’t be said about the rest of them after seeing the 3 reunion shows. Candy is the only one with relevance on the show but don’t want to see a spinoff with her mama.

    You go BOSS Lady!

Friendship… is not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.
