Lil Wayne and Bryan “Birdman” Williams are facing a breach of contract lawsuit from teen rap group W3 The Future, who say they were dropped from Cash Money without cause.

According to TMZ, the trio claims they signed a joint deal with Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment and Williams’ Cash Money Records a year ago and were promised an advance of $600,000 toward recording costs.

W3 The Future’s production company Grassroots, who filed the suit on the group’s behalf, claim the labels only covered the initial recording fees, but the balance of the $600,000 was not paid, even though the aspiring stars turned in their album on time.

According to the legal papers obtained by TMZ, a label rep simply told them, “Cash Money is not moving forward with this project.”
