Fresh from her Academy Award win for 12 Years A Slave, Lupita Nyong’o has signed with Hollywood talent agency CAA.

The actress left Innovative and signed with the Century City-based firm, according to reports. She remains repped by D2 Management and law firm Del Shaw.

At CAA, Nyong’o will be handled by a team led by Hylda Queally, who also reps Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, Berenice Bejo and Noomi Rapace.

Born in Mexico City to Kenyan parents and raised in Naroibi, Nyong’o, 31, a graduate of the Yale School of Drama, had few credits to her name when she was cast opposite Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she became the target of every major agency as soon as she signed on to the film, but according to insiders, postponed taking any meetings not only until after the movie had wrapped but also until well after awards season had ended.

The darling of Oscar season dominated red carpets and media appearances in what marked her breakthrough year during which she racked up numerous critics’ awards, a SAG award, and Golden Globes and BAFTA nominations.

Since 12 Years she has appeared in just one film, playing a supporting role as a flight attendant in the Liam Neeson thriller Non-Stop, a part she nabbed before the accolades for her breakout role began pouring in. In the wake of her Oscar win, she did meet with Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, but is not expected to appear in that film.

She recently signed with Lancome to become one of its brand ambassadors.
