90s rapper/actor Treach of Naughty By Nature doesn’t need to worry about OPP. Right now, he needs to be focused on the law. He was recently arrested in New Jersey for eluding police. Turns out Treach had quite a few warrants out for his arrest anyway.

According to reports, Treach was riding around Union City, New Jersey when he drove by cops who were monitoring traffic speeds. Treach, real name Anthony Criss, flew past the cops doing 55 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone. When cops pulled out to stop the “Hip Hop Hooray” rhymer, he put the pedal to the metal and drove nine blocks at an accelerated speed in hopes to shake the police.

When Treach finally pulled the car over, he immediately jumped out and ran towards the police vehicle. Cops pulled their guns on him and demanded he get back into his Cadillac Escalade. Cops described him as being irate and belligerent in the beginning of the stop, but soon complied with their orders. Criss was arrested and charged with reckless driving and  speeding. Upon running his information, police found Treach had other warrants around the state. The various warrants are for Treach failing to appear at different court appearances–some for child support and others for driving violations.

Treach appeared before a judge this morning and his bail was set at $15,000. It wasn’t that cut and dry for Treach when it came to posting bail. The rapper has had some issues with paying child support so before he was allowed to post bail, he had to take care of some of those child support responsibilities. After leaving court, neither Treach or his lawyer Darryl Smith had any comment.
