A Shreveport, LA teacher at Evangel Christian Academy School brought a 12-year-old student to tears after allegedly calling her a, ‘sassy slut.’

The student’s mother asked that her daughter’s name be withheld to protect her from potential teasing.

“I’m just still numb you know, about what happened and the disciplinary action that the school had taken,” said Marteen Mitchell, the unidentified girl’s mother.

Red River Teacher’s United Federation President, Jackie Landsdale told a local station that in public education there is an investigation policy where the typical course of action is, “…the employee is put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.”

She also reassured Mitchell that paid leave is not to be confused with vacation and that most teachers are upset when they learn of such consequence. “…any teacher or school employee that I’ve ever dealt with, who has been put out on paid administrative leave is very upset about it, they are very upset about the fact that they have been accused of something.”

Give us your thoughts, is paid leave too lenient of a charge at this stage in the investigation? What should happen in this case?

Parents needs to see and hear what their children are doing in the school building! Students are cursing and threatening teachers just because they want to have their way and don’t want to challenge the school work!

    • Preachers calling women hoes. Teachers calling students sluts. Doctors calling patients hoochie mamma. It’s good with you huh? What next? Firemen calling burn victims crispy critters? Lord help us. How low are we really willing to go?

Trust me, it’s not. No teacher wants that they were put on administrative leave in their personnel record. It can hinder them from getting a position in another school district.
