Bravo producer Andy Cohen, who is a self-proclaimed “shady tree,” knows how to throw shade like no other, and that’s exactly what he did during a recent sit-down interview with Nene Leakes.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star grilled her boss on a special episode of “What What Happens Live” this week. While in the host seat, Andy called out competitor networks for trying to replicate his popular ‘Housewives’ franchise.

“The think the [politically correct] thing is imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” he said after NeNe asked his thoughts on shows like “Basketball Wives” and Mob Wives.” He went on to call the popular VH1 programs “a bunch of second-rate, sh*tty rip-off shows.’”

“Honey you better throw shade like I know you can,” Nene replied with a laugh and two snaps.

“I’ve never seen any of those shows but the way,” he added. “I never seen “Basketball Wives.”

Watch the full clip and tell us if you agree with Andy’s point of view. Are these other shows just knockoffs?
