The news of Big Sean and Naya Rivera’s breakup hit the web yesterday. The rapper’s rep released a statement saying, “After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off.” The announcement didn’t include details on why he ended their short engagement, but thanks to our friends over at TMZ we have a little more insight.
According to reports, the Good Music star made the decision weeks ago after realizing Naya was too controlling. The “Glee” star allegedly wanted to know where he was at all time and even sent threats like, “If you don’t listen to what I say, I’ll ruin your career.”
Apparently the 27-year-old actress has a violent side as well. “We’re told she was suspicious whenever Sean was with other women and would work herself up into jealous rages,’ the site reports, “once breaking an expensive lamp during a rampage in his home.”
Before calling it quits, Big Sean took Naya to couples counseling, and apparently worked because he realized she was not what he wanted.
The former lovebirds met on Twitter last year and announced their engagement just six months later.
