A Fort Stewart soldier went to “extreme” lengths to teach his teenage daughter a lesson.

The man, who did not want to be identified, was fed up with his daughter’s messy room so he moved everything out of her bedroom and put it in the family’s driveway while she was at school Monday.

WSAV reports:

“Accompanying her belongings was a sign that read, “Haley, room moved to driveway. Clean it next time.”

The home is located on Mustang Lane in the Horse Creek subdivision of Ludowici and the father describes his daughter as an honor roll student.

He says he had warned her he didn’t want to treat her like a soldier but when she wouldn’t listen he decided to send her a message.

The father told us that his daughter was initially upset and said that the move was “extreme.”

But it worked out for both in the end.

The father says they have hired a painter to come in tomorrow and give Haley’s bedroom a fresh coat of paint in hopes that she will keep it cleaner from now on.
