Despite having been deceased for five years, Michael Jackson is still raking in the big bucks. The upcoming posthumous album titled “Xscape” looks to add a few more coins in the Jackson piggy bank. IOt was recently announced that “Xscape” will be released on May 13th.

L.A. Reid gathered  a handful of today’s hottest producers to rework or “contemporize” songs from the King of Pop’s vault. The album is said to include eight songs that have never been heard by the public before. The songs on the album will have been tweaked and “contemporized” by such producers as Timbaland, who serves as the album’s lead producer, alongside Rodney Jerkins, John McClain and Stargate.

When explaining the project, Epic Records’ Chairman L.A. Reid said, “Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world. Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”

If you remember, Timbaland was the one who announced the album back in August and leaked a snippet of the song “Slave To A Rhythm.”

Make sure you get your copy off Michael Jackson’s posthumous album “Xscape” when it hits shelves May 13th. If you can’t wait to order it, you can pre-order on iTunes April 1st.
