According to Hip Hop Wired, Love & Hip Hop New York’s cast mate Mendeecees Harris is out of jail. Today (March 31, 2014) he was allegedly released on $600,000 bond to awaits trial on drug trafficking charges.
Harris’ fiancee and fellow L&HHNY star, Yandy Smith, allegedly paid $200,000 of the bill. She was in Rochester, NY today to agree to the terms. And of course VH1 cameras were waiting outside of federal court. The cameras were rolling in order to get a glimpse of the “reunion”.
U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. agreed to release Harris on a $600,000 bond package.
Harris is accused of being a part of a New York City based drug ring that included his brother, Tyrus Harris, and another man, Ronald Walker.
Tyrus Harris pleaded guilty before Geraci Monday, and Walker pleaded guilty last year. The drug ring transported cocaine to the Rochester, New York region, federal authorities allege.
Tyrus Harris faces a sentence of about five to seven years under federal sentencing recommendations.
Yandy Smith, who is engaged to Mendeecees Harris and who is one of the bigger stars of L&HHNY spoke about the day’s events in the video below.
So much for not giving the conspiracy theorists something to talk about! Word on the street is that Mendeecees has been out of jail for months now and that L&HH was going to try to recreate it somehow…..welp today’s events will do nothing to slow that rumor down!
At any rate…there are two gorgeous little boys who have their father back at home with them. When he got there is of no consequence. We’re sure there is a happy Harris home right about now. And we’d be shocked if the new season of L&HH doesn’t have a wedding included in it….just sayin.
