A growing trend of African American women are deciding not to have children, either for health or personal reasons. Melanie Notkin, the author of “Otherhood” shares her expert advice on some of the reasons why women are deciding to live happy lives that don’t include children.
“Most women do want children…50% of women are mothers, 40% expect to be and about 6% decide not to be mothers at all.” Notkin says.
