R&B is in full effect this weekend as Johnny Gill, 112, Dru Hill, Marsha Ambrosius, Monica and new artist Sevyn Streeter are all on the road this weekend. Comedy tours are swinging around the nation as well, with Katt Williams, Mike Epps and Sommore and friends all out and about.
If you don’t want to go anywhere but your living room this weekend, there’s a few good Black movies to watch, and there’s also the Unsung: Hollywood story of Dick Gregory the pioneering comedian and activist. And if you know any teenagers, chances are you’ll be shuttling them to the multiplex to see Divergent, the first of another teen sci-fi trilogy based on the popular book series.
