On second thought, maybe he should’ve kept it to himself.

In Connecticut, Bishop Bobby Davis admitted to his church about an affair he had then drops dead of an apparent heart attack.

Davis, pastor and founder of the Miracle Faith World Outreach Church in Bridgeport, had a lot on his mind on Sunday and wanted to come clean about it before the church’s congregation.

The Connecticut Post reports that police are investigating the incident, indications are that he suffered a fatal heart attack after getting a mixed response.

“After the service on Sunday, the bishop’s family asked us to remain in the church and the bishop confessed to us something that happened long ago,” parishioner Judy Stovall told the newspaper about Davis. “He wanted to come clean with all of us. He wanted to ask our forgiveness.”

Davis, who served as pastor since the church was founded in 1967, reportedly dropped to the floor during the commotion.

“We were shouting, ‘We forgive you, we love you,’ but the stress of all of it — he had a heart attack,” Stovall told the paper. “I held his head as he lay on the floor … Our congregation is hurting now.”

Davis was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. The cause of death is still under investigation, according to police sources who spoke to the newspaper.

Meanwhile, the Christian Post cited an unidentified church member who said it wasn’t Davis idea to come clean on his own. The member said Davis confessed to his wife earlier, and she insisted that he tell the congregation. The revelation freaked out Davis’ children, who “got physical,” according to the Christian news outlet.

Police have interviewed dozens of witnesses and are reportedly reviewing video from inside the church that was taken by a member.

  1. The above comments are just as sick as the deed the brother confessed to doing!
But that God for the Word which says: “if we can fess our sins, God is faithful just and will forgive us all our our sins.” Thank ya Jesus! People often will not forgive ya, but God will !

Nothing new but nowdays its too much of that going on-these men in the pulpit having affairs and a multitude of women. I’m sure his wife knew about it as all of their wives know about their affairs. Truth is they can hide from the people and wife but can never hide from God.

This shows just how screwed up nature of people. The man still supported his wife and children. He did not run out on them. He was not a dead beat dad. He just had some fun with another woman. Then when the wife and children find out they freak; and then someone is going to coerce the man to confess. Forget punishment from God………he was tortured to death here before he ever faced God!

He should have confessed to his wife only her. Now if she made hem do it then shame on her. He only needs forgiveness from GOD and his wife.

Please, he’s supposed to be a god-like leader, he’s misleading them. He should apologize and ask for forgiveness for being a hypocrite & failing to set an example. Now their forgiveness is up to them. These nasty preachers get in that pedestal and think they’re exempt from humanity. I don’t blame the wife.
