The mother of music mogul Diddy‘s first child, Misa Hylton-Brim is in the midst of a battle to save her New York City home from being foreclosed upon. She wants Diddy’s help to stop the bank from snatching back her property, but Diddy wants no parts of the matter.
The Revolt founder filed a response in Westchester County, New York saying he had no knowledge of Hylton-Brim’s home was nearing foreclosure. But before we go any further, let’s discuss why Diddy is being dragged into the matter.
Diddy took a mortgage out on the house for Hylton-Brim and in court documents filed by the bank, they allege Diddy’s baby mama stopped making payments on the property in June of 2010. Citibank says they’re still owed $622,000 on a the property valued at $712,000.
Since the mortgage is in Diddy’s name, he is being held responsible. He, however, says he took the mortgage on the property after he and Hylton-Brim agreed that she would be making all payments. In Diddy’s response, he “denies knowledge or information sufficient to form a belief as to the truth or falsity of the allegations…except denies that he was properly notified of any default of the mortgage or note.”
Diddy is asking that he be completely dismissed from the lawsuit and allow Misa Hylton-Brim deal with the foreclosure by herself.
The judge has yet to rule on Diddy’s request.
