Is Don Lemon ready for his weekly close up?

Things seem to point in that direction. According to The Huffington Post, CNN is experimenting with a new weekly show hosted by the “CNN Newsroom” anchor.

The series, called “The Don Lemon Show,” will air “tentatively” at 10 p.m. Monday nights for approximately five weeks. Lemon’s show will fill the void left by Anderson Cooper’s “AC 360 Later,” which was cancelled in early February.

Prior to “The Don Lemon Show,” CNN chief Jeff Zucker unsuccessfully filled the 10 p.m. slot with re-airings of Jake Tapper’s “The Lead” and several news programs such as a panel show including Donny Deutsch.

On Wednesday, CNN confirmed to The Post that it would follow “The Don Lemon Show” with “Making the Case,” a new legal show co-hosted by celebrity defense lawyer Mark Geragos and former assistant U.S. attorney Sunny Hostin that will air at 10:30 p.m.
