Who wants to be a millionaire? All of us, but Cedric The Entertainer can actually help you get there. He’s now the host of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and he says he’s enjoying it.

“I’m having fun with it. It’s great It’s one of those iconic game shows, so you get to have fun with people and the questions are good. We try to bring it up to date and ask a few more modern day questions like Honey Boo Boo and what happened on Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Cedric told The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Cedric is no stranger to TV hosting, with a stint on Comicview and the game show It’s Worth What? He’s also starring with Niecy Nash on the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man which has its third season premiere on March 26th.

The standup comic, actor and one-time foil to Steve Harvey on The Steve Harvey Show is a pretty versatile. He’s been in TV and movies, collecting plenty of nice checks along the way for his comedic roles. But he says he’s seen plenty funny moments as host of the show.

“One guy got really excited and he had on his church shoes. Our floor is slippery. It’s kind of made of glass so that the lights show through the bottom. He got to jumping because he was a karate expert and did a roundhouse kick when he won $20,000. It didn’t go well. He landed and kept landing. But he was a karate expert so I think they tried to save face for his school.”

Cedric is a 2014 NAACP Image Award nominee and says that he’s looking forward to the show. But first he’s gotta get through the live Soul Man show.

“That’s the first time somebody’s been live on an African-American show since Roc. It’s going to be big. We’re going to be on at the time we shoot. So it’s going to be like theater, like Broadway.”
