“12 Years A Slave” has brought Lupita Nyong’o acclaim has also earned her another award.

After winning a best supporting actress trophy Thursday night at the Critic Choice Movie Awards, Saturday night Nyong’o also won the best supporting actress award at the Screen Actors Guild/SAG, reports TheWrap.

The annual awards show honors the best of film and television acting.  On the film front, Jared Leto earned best supporting actor honors for his portrayal of a transvestite AIDS activist in “Dallas Buyers Club” and Nyong’o won best supporting actress for her role as a proud field slave in “12 Years a Slave.”

In an emotional speech, Nyong’o thanked Solomon Northup, the real-life inspiration for the movie, for a “life well lived” and also honored her director Steve McQueen for “shining a spotlight” on a painful chapter of American history.”
