    1. Well I will say this, until you have been in her shoes, none of us know what she endured at the hands of the person that was suppose to protect her, and treat her like a woman…..I’m not saying what she did is right, but I think I would have killed him had he put his hands on me, point blank period!

    2. THIS IS SAD,,,, A MAN CAN GET AWAY WITH MURDER, AND A WOMAN GETS 20 YEARS FOR SHOOTING IN THE AIR,,A MAN GET TIME FOR A DOG FIGHT,AND A MAN CAN KILL A UNARMED BOY AND WALKS AWAY,, AND WOMAN SHOOT A WARNING SHOOT IN THE AIR AND GET TIME,,,A MAN KILLS AND HE COULD WALK AWAY,AND STILL GETTING IN TROUBLE AND WALK AWAY,,A WOMAN GET PERIMSION AND THEY WANT TO LOCK HER BACK UP.THIS IS SAD.. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE…..

    3. Did some of you listen to the interview ?? This has nothing to do with the case at hand it’s about was she given signed permission or not to leave her residence which according to the interview she was given permsssion.

      • I listened to the interview and heard that she got perission, but was it from the proper authority. She was to permission from the court , her attorney should have handled stuff like this for her………why subject youself to this to take someone to a hair appointment or airport, they know your restraints…so just say no…or let someone else take them…..

    4. Patricia is a troll. Angela Corey is requesting the revocation of her bond to save face. She is trying to convince the public as well as the onlookers that she did the right thing in prosecuting this woman in a victimless crime. No one was hurt.

This is just Angela Corey’s attempt to justify her actions. It is too bad for Marissa. She has become the only victim in this scenario of events.

    5. I agree with Patricia, Melissa broke the law when she returned to the house with the gun. She had the opportunity to leave. She broke the law and they offered her a plea deal that if she had taken she would have been out of prison a long time ago, but she chose to decline and as a result of her trial, was found guilty and given the maximum sentence. You can’t claim self defense or stand your ground when you return to the scene. As far as her getting approvals from the wrong dept, there’s definitely a breakdown somewhere in the system and it looks like she got caught in it.

    6. It is common knowledge that black people are charged and sentence for alleged crimes and crimes they did not commit. The Criminal Justice System overall is Racist, and this will not change until people are voted into positions who is concerned about us. Black People WAKE UP!!!!!!!!! Try to stay out of harms way and some of those same people will be out of work; we are keeping them in jobs and then they hire their entire family and it continues year after year.

      • I don’t have a problem…..I simply stated my opinion based on the facts that I hve on this case…..you should do the same instead of attacking me, it does not make me change my opinion……just stick to posting on the article and not a personal attack…….

    7. Ok Patricia she fires warning shot to defend herself and spending all this time in jail and zimmerman fires at an unarmed teen minding his business and kills him and he gets off scott free no way we as black people will nevvver forget the unjustice she need to be let free. They need to FREE HER NOW.

      • That is the fault of the jury who heard these cases not me….they gave the verdict……what’s wrong with just walking away from situations when you have the chance…..just open the door and walk down the street……just like you take the time to fire a warning shot……just walk awy……

      • Take your anger and put it somewhere else……you just need to actually read the facts of the case and not what you get from a radio show before you start calling names and making crazy comments.

    8. No pity for Marissa Alexander, she says she got permission but from the wrong authority she knew the conditions of her bond….no one is out to get her but herself……to take a family member to the hair appointment, not necessary…….there is no such thing as a warning shot…….she is not the only person who is facing long prison terms in Florida based on a so call warning shot but the only one with her case blown up in the media. Corrine Brown and Tom Joyner need to review the facts in this case before they go on an emotional drama appeal……she did the crime she must now face the music…….

      • @Patrica, you’re an asshole, you feel she should be in jail because she defended heself from an abusive husband? I hope and pray that1you feel the same way if and when someone you know and love that may go through the same situation, you are ignorant, and hearyless to feel she should be in jail for defending herself. He was not hurt and adnitted that he threatened to killed her.

        • Funny that I don’t agree with you, that is no reason to call me an asshole. We a dealing with laws not emotions……..

        • Donna, why do you have to result to name calling when someone’s view is different from yours. Have you taken the time to read all the published information on this case and just speak from emotions. She could have just walked out the door of the house. Bullets that go up in the air must land somewhere……don’t let your emotions take away from the facts……..Marissa Alexander seems to be good at giving abuse herself…..

      • Someone should tell the state prosecutor to get a life anytime you put abused woman in jail for defending herself there’s a problem somewhere. The state prosecutor is a disgrace to women everywhere. This is not 1865 and you can’t go after African-Americans to return them to bondage.

        • I’m Black and the prosecutor is not going after anyone…….laws are laws…….stop speaking from emotions….have you even read the facts of this case?
