  • Evander Holyfield’s son is coming to his father’s defense against remarks the boxer made about homosexuals on UK’s “Celebrity Big Brother.”

As previously reported, Holyfield told a housemate Sunday that being gay is like being handicapped, because a doctor can fix both. He was immediately chastised by fellow houseguests as well as show producers.

Ewin Holyfield tells TMZ that his father is not a bigot. “My dad is the most loving and caring person you will ever meet. He treats everyone like a human being … even if they are homosexual.”

Ewin added that he has a gay uncle, and Evander treated him like a brother.

    1. discussions of this sort and type are hard to ignore especially when you observe so many people are blinded by the truth and voice out opinions and point of views that are neither sound nor factual.
these are certainly the last days (for those who are spiritually in tune with the 2nd coming of our Lord and saviour Jesus the “risen” Christ) they don’t even care to spell christmas right anymore (xmas).
the world as we know it now is on a mission to blot out the very word, will and son of the living God.
therefore, any one or any body who dares come forth with truth from the holy scriptures will certainly
be ridiculed and chastised and mocked and over-ruled with sayings and idealistic nonsense, but be warned; God is not a man that he would lie, neither the son of man that he should repent. there has never been a person born gay – that’s a lie from the pit! all these homo’s and gays and sissies and queers and transgenders and punks and fagets are victims of choice! then afterwards that foul pervert spirit entered them and they pursue this contrary lifestyle. just like God is real – Satan is real!
just like there are angels – there are also demons!
we are commanded to love one another, but that doesn’t mean condone sin.
open your hearts to the King of Glory and he will real his truths to you while there’s still time.

    2. We all have the right to like or dislike certain groups of people. Just make sure you dislike them for the right reasons. Interpretation of a holy book (and keep in mind, there are about 5 dozens of different holy books; all claiming to be THE holy books) and imagined knowledge of the feelings of the Creator of the Universe (if there is such a thing) about sexual orientation of humans is not a good reason because that is simply BEYOND preposterous. But unfortunately this approach has been effective in the past, i.e. convenient justification of slavery, opposition of mixed marriages, etc. all based on different interpretations of the bible… This is the year of 2013, the age of internet and open access to knowledge yet we have so many people still living in darkness. Utterly sad and pathetic…

    3. I met Evander Holyfield in the church he and I both attend. I was a staff member at the time and even though I had a badge on my suit he refused to acknowledge me time and time again as I would extend my hand just to say hello. In fact, if he spoke to anyone he only spoke to senior staff or other members of the congregation who appeared to have the same type of financial success. I don’t know if he knew I was gay, but whether or not he knew he was so unbelievably rude as a so called fellow Christian. I can tell you from personal experience that he is very rude and will not speak to anyone unless he feels as though they are on his level of success.

    4. AMEN! Uncle G! .I don’t agree with their lifestyle and more importantly I don’t like how they seem to portray themselves as oppressed people like they had to rise up from slavery or something.Keeping it 100% people you know darn well what your doing is wrong if you picked up a bible, went to church,or watched a nature program. However that said as wrong as it is this is America and if we value freedom like we claim, then much like Al Bundy says about gays and marriage, they should have every right to be equally as miserable as the rest of us.@kllypyn something you left out about how they use the bible to justify hate. They rally behind that book to condemn those that they say is wrong for being gay but whet they will go to a church who’s leaders don’t punish priest for raping young boys and not only that give the church money to further support it.It cost money to shuffle all those priest around to different places to cover up the crimes.

    5. IT SEEMS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE NO ISSUE WITH GODS BLESSINGS AND HEALINGS IN THEIR LIVES. BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO HOMOSEXUALITY GOD IS SUPPOSE TO GIVE A PASS BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE ITS BIGOTRY OR HATE. SIN( DON’T HEAR THAT MUCH IN CHURCH NOW DAYS) IS SIN. WHETHER LYING,FORNICATION,ADULTRY WELL MOST OF YOU KNOW THAT. WE DON’T JUDGE. WE MAKE ONE SIN GREATER THAN ANOTHER. GOD TREATS ALL SIN IS AS ONE.

    6. three instances of Jesus condemning homosexuality.

The Lord straighthened this out long ago when he was here in person – First, Jesus said that He came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. In other words, the Old Testament law, even in Jesus’ day, was still in force and Jesus accepted it. That is the same law that condemns homosexuality in the Book of Leviticus.

Next, read your bible, Matthew 15 in which Jesus states that all sexual acts committed outside of marriage defile a human being.

also, read Matthew 19 in which Jesus said that marriage, as God intended it, is the union of one man and one woman.
